Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-05
This Privacy Policy explains how Benelux Metrics ("we", "us", "the Service", available at https://beneluxmetrics.com) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our application, including the features that connect to your Google / YouTube account.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information required to operate the Service:
- Account information: the email address, name and phone number you provide when you register.
- Google/YouTube account data (via OAuth): when you choose to connect your YouTube channel, Google shares with us your channel ID, channel name and public channel thumbnail, together with an OAuth access/refresh token that we use exclusively to upload videos to your own channel on your behalf.
- Content you provide or import: video files, links, captions and titles/descriptions you add, edit, or queue for publishing through the Service.
- Basic technical data: login timestamps and IP-based rate-limiting data used for account security (e.g. preventing abusive login attempts).
2. How We Use Google User Data
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We request only the YouTube scopes required to list your channel and upload videos on your behalf
(
youtube.upload,youtube.readonly). - Your Google/YouTube data is used solely to provide the video-publishing features you explicitly request inside the Service — we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless: (a) we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, (b) it is necessary for security purposes, (c) it is required to comply with applicable law, or (d) it is limited to internal operations and the data has been aggregated/anonymized.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the requested feature (e.g. sending a video file to the YouTube Data API for upload), to comply with the law, or as part of a merger/acquisition subject to this Policy.
- You may revoke the Service's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking access does not delete videos already uploaded to your channel.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and operate your account.
- To publish, on your instruction, the videos you queue to your own connected YouTube channel, at the time and frequency you configure.
- To keep a record (share log) of what was published, when, and to which of your accounts, so you can review your own publishing history.
- To keep the Service secure (e.g. detecting repeated failed logins).
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform (for example, the YouTube Data API to publish your videos, and infrastructure/hosting providers that store the application's data), and only to the extent needed to provide the Service to you.
5. Data Retention
We retain account information and publishing history for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; OAuth tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection or account deletion.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls on stored OAuth tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent (including revoking Google account access) at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
10. Contact Us
